Studio Vatn i.c.w. Mattias Josefsson has been commissioned to develop plans for a hotel, restaurant and sailing center on the island of Ylvingen on the West Coast of Norway.
Lisbon Triennale 2019
VATN and Groma exhibit 5 models at The National Museum of Contemporary Art Lisbon as a part of the show Inner Space of the Lisbon Triennale 2019.

In Hannes Meyers Pockets, a project Espen Vatn and collaborators exhibited at the Venice Biennale, received an Honorable Mention in the competition for the next Pamphlet Architecture publication by Princeton Architectural Press. The jury consisted of Steven Holl, Paul Lewis, Kevin Lippert, Charles Waldheim and Marion Weiss.
Universidad de Navarra
Espen Vatn will be a Visiting Professor at Universidad de Navarra in the spring semester of 2016 where he will be teaching a 4th year studio.
MoMA & New Museum
Espen Vatn will be a panelist at a symposium taking place at MoMA and New Museum in conjunction with the book launch of the book Open City by Cooper Union.

Baltic Sea Symposium
Espen Vatn was invited to participate in a seminar on urban and regional planning in the Baltic countries at the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdansk.
Espen Vatn has been been appointed by the Norwegian Assosiation of Architects to be in the jury for a new Graphic Museum in Stavanger. The competing teams are Snøhetta, Kap Arkitektur and Eder Biesel Arkitekter.
Studio Vatn and Groma Architects has started work on Storyline Studios new camera department. The project is a 1000 m2 interior refurbishment.
Studio Vatn and Jørgen Tandberg proposal has been awarded 1st prize in an invited competition for a viewing platform in Senja, Norway. The project is for National Tourist Routes, Norway and scheduled for construction early 2016.
